Independent Musical Productions

Our Silver Anniversary Season!

Welcome to Independent Musical Productions, Inc.

[silver medal] It's hard to believe, but IMP is now entering its 25th year of providing quality theatre to the North Alabama area. IMP puts world-class work on stage, but we're so much more than that: We share a partnership with the Performing Arts Magnet Program at Lee High school, and we have an educational outreach program with the New Hope, Alabama school system in partnership with The Care Center. We offer workshops during the season as well as a summer musical theatre workshop for young people. We're a community of artists, administrators, educators, and business and civic leaders devoted to theatre, arts, and arts education. We've won awards for our work and our advocacy.

We look forward to seeing YOU — at auditions, in the scene shop, in the costume shop, in our educational programs, or sitting in the audience.

IMP produces four major productions each season (September through August): two large-scale musicals, one small-cast musical, and a "minus the music" production. We also present a series of musical cabarets upstairs at Amendment XXI in downtown Huntsville.

See below for information on our next productions, or click here for details on our entire 2017-8 season and "Cabaret Upstairs" events.

Click here to purchase season tickets or click the ticket icon next to an upcoming show or cabaret to purchase tickets for that event.

Good news, everyone: We have elected to remove the $2 convenience fee for online ticket purchases! Now you can buy your tickets online for the same price as at the box office!

We also invite you to browse the other information on this site, including information about IMP, our venues, general ticket information, our past shows and cabarets, audition notices, and our calendar of events.

As with any 501(c)(3) entity, IMP is funded solely by donations and ticket sales, so please visit the donations page and help us out! Thanks!
