INDEPENDENT MUSICAL PRODUCTIONS, INC.

Celebrating our 23rd season!

Welcome to Independent Musical Productions, Inc.

COME PLAY WITH US!

IMP has been bringing quality theatre to the North Alabama area for nearly 25 years. As we approach our 24th season, we invite you to join us as an audience member, a backstage volunteer, or a performer on stage. IMP is Huntsvile's place for high-quality performing arts. IMP puts world-class work on stage, but we're so much more than that: We share a partnership with the Performing Arts Magnet Program at Lee High School. We have an educational outreach program with the New Hope, Alabama school system in partnership with The Care Center. We offer workshops during the season, as well as a summer musical theatre workshop for young people. We support local charitable non-profit groups. We're a community of artists, administrators, educators, and business and civic leaders devoted to theatre, arts, and arts education. We've won awards for our work and our advocacy.

We look forward to seeing YOU ... at auditions, in the workshop, in the costume shop, in our educational programs, or sitting in the audience.

OUR NEXT PRODUCTION

The ever-popular, most-loved, practically-perfect Nanny Mary Poppins flies to the IMP stage this summer for what will surely be a magical event. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she teaches the family how to value each other again. Based on the books by P. L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney Film, "Mary Poppins" includes a score filled with timeless classics such as "Jolly Holiday", "Step in Time", and the Academy Award©-winning "Chim-Chim Cher-ee".
