Jamarious Stewart
Jamarious passed away on June 25, 2021 at the age of 32. Jamarious was a frequent participant in IMP productions, having performed as an actor and dancer in Ragtime, a choreographer for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and The Secret Garden, and as Angel in RENT and The Rum Tum Tugger in Cats. His most recent IMP Huntsville production was Five Guys Named Moe, which he directed, choreographed, and performed in as Little Moe.
Kenneth Warren
Kenneth gained his wings on February 12, 2021. He had an affinity for theatre arts, having made his acting debut in 2001 as Mr. Grumpy in Mr. Grumpy's Toy Shoppe at The Academy for Academics and arts. He continued at Lee High School as a member of the show choir and the Technical Theater Magnet program. After graduating from LHS in 2006, Ken pursued his education at the University of Alabama, graduating with a B.A. in Business Marketing.
Caroline Feagley
Caroline passed away on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. Caroline worked at Owens Corning/Kohler, and in her spare time, she loved sewing theatre costumes for the Lee High School Theatre Program and Independent Musical Productions. After her retirement from Kohler in 2003, Caroline spent her life giving to others as well as creating beautiful theatre costumes for IMPHuntsvile.
Steve Stricklin
Steve, husband of long-time IMP Huntsville "mother" Susan, father to frequent cast members Shelby, Jenny, and Jeff, and grandfather to Sarah Jayne and Virginia, passed away January 1, 2021. While he wasn't the backstage fixture that so many of his family members are, he was a fixture "front of house". You would always see him at performances, ready to greet you with a warm smile, sound the loudest applause, and give the best hugs after the show.
Kenneth "Ken Daddy" Atkins
Kenneth "Ken Daddy", husband of IMP Huntsville founder Vivienne Atkins, passed away April 4, 2020. Since the beginning, "Ken Daddy" was a fixture around IMP events and most Lee High School choir and theater events, always cheering us on. He was regarded by many students and cast members as a second father of sorts, always there, always watching, always cheering. But most importantly, he is remembered for being a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Steve Chrisenberry
Steve, an alumnus of Lee High School (class of 1969), passed away in June 2017. Steve was a charter member of the Twickenham Repertory Company in 1979 and as such performed onstage and assisted behind the scenes. Steve was a founding member of IMP, appearing as the lead in IMP's premiere production of Sweeney Todd in 1993. He later went on to perform in IMP's Jekyll & Hyde - The Musical (2006), Sweeney Todd (IMP's 2009 revival), and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown in 2006.
John Hilchey
John died peacefully on February 23, 2010. "Dr. John" retired from the Marshall Space Flight Center in 1994 after a 31-year career that began with the Mercury program and lasted through the International Space Station. He was an active member of the Huntsville theatre community, playing Willie Lowman in Death of a Salesman, Badger in Wind in the Willows, Ben Franklin in IMP's 1776, and Judge Thatcher in IMP's Big River.
Jason Pike
Jason died Sunday, February 14, 2010. Jason graduated from Lee High School in 1993, attended the Boston Conservatory of Music, and worked professionally for the Birmingham Children's Theatre. Jason played "Edward Rutledge" in IMP's 1776, and starred in Lee Lyric Theatre productions of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Big River, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Lee Deal
Lee passed away on May 16, 2007. He was an avid director, actor, and producer for the past 25 years. He was very active with Renaissance Theater, Fantasy Playhouse, Theatre Huntsville, and Lee Deal Productions. He was a nominee for the Virginia Hamil Simms award. Lee turned in a magnificent performance as "Herr Schultz" in IMP's production of Cabaret
Fred Griswold
Fred passed away on July 3, 2005. He was a floor supervisor and trainer for TGI Friday's for many years and was very active and instrumental in the Huntsville theatre community. Fred played Judge Turpin in IMP's premiere production of Sweeney Todd in 1993. Thereafter, he played Mortimer in The Fantasticks, Stephen Hopkins in 1776, and Lycus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
